My husband and myself bought a washer and dryer combo last year from Sears. After being told we would have to pay thousands of dollars over what the set was worth my husband convinced them to settle on the original agreed amount, and we paid for the combo in full on one day. Might I add we paid over 2 grand. Several times after that $209 was taken out of our account. This caused our mortgage to bounce. I believed it happened three times or more. Each time we would get an apology and a refund. Eventually it cause our home to go up for reprocession because each time a the mortgage company would try to pull a payment it would be denied due to unauthorized money being taken out of our account. My husband called and spoke with someone, and I personally emailed them myself. I explained to them that this was so much bigger than just taking money out of our account. We have 4 children, and our home was risked. The mortgage company would not listen to us. All they cared about was their money. (Which is to be expected) the next morning after I sent my email the top guy called me from his cell. He apologized several times. The money taken from our account had been refunded. He also gave us back the $2,000 we paid to get our washer/dryer combo. The total amount was around $3,000. They asked for nothing in return. They claim to want to be a "for the people" company. So, here is one example of how they made right what they did wrong.
I'm paying 6x what the merchandise cost at Sears. Would advise against ever using this company. Was never told that I would be leasing this merchandise indefinitely. Would do better at Aaron's or someplace similar. Multiple complaints in the BBB. HORRIBLE people
This company is a joke, after I am done paying my payments I will never go through them again. My wife and I bought couches from a furniture store and we are doing payments through this company, first of all the terms that were explained to us were difference once our payments were being made, we now have all these charges to pay off early and were told there would be no interest and no charges whatsoever I make two payments and then my payoff amount goes down by like maybe 40.00. Now today my payment is due and they call me 4 times harassing me to make the payment, technically I'm not even late 9am in the morning at work and they are harassing me for this payment, don't even give me until the evening to make my payment. I have not been late once and I don't plan on being late on my payments. It is completely wrong that this company is harassing me early morning hours on the DAY my payment is due. I would understand if is the next day but it's not, lastly every time I do call to make my payment I get rude customer service attendants, leave me on the phone for long periods of time and absolutely no personalities whatsoever.
My husband and I used this as leasing when making a purchase from Sears, my payments went as we agreed and then we were offered to pay the payoff amount. I had absolutely no problems with Tempoe leasing and would absolutely use them again. I called the customer service line, the automated system does try to repeatedly hang up on you, but once you get through to a representative they are incredibly helpful and informative!
This company is the biggest scam ever! I've called several times to try and verify and clear up payment questions, with zero help! They just kept wanting me to pay them more and not answer my direct questions. I've been lied to about payments that I did pay. They would tell me I didn't have money in my account and they were calling to collect the remaining balance. But my bank statements can clearly prove otherwise!! Just recently they ran two payments on the same day, so I called and politely asked for a manager. The gentleman then laughed at me and said "oh that's a good one", the next person was just as disrespectful. See you in court.
