No appointment reminders, no great service from office staff, everyone passing the buck here! Can I please tell you how much of a pain the refill staff is!!! I mean the medication refill line to call is just horrendous!!! My son has been out of medicine for 9 days! I need to switch providers and FAST!!!!
I have experience as a nurse and have had lots of health care homes because I have lived in several cities. The standard of care delivered by MCHC compares favorably with the primary care I received from Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's and is better than any other office that I have been a patient with in NH, Oregon and Chicago. My children are cared for their as well. I applaud their commitment to high standards and low costs.
I have been going to Manchester Community Health Center for over 15 years, at the beginning, I did have a few problems on refills, and taking forever to get a phone call for test results. They changed their system on all that, and I can honestly say I never have a problem at all. I love Igbal, the PA I see there. Never do I feel rushed, she takes her time explaining things to me, and faxes my refills while I am there so I can pick them up right away at the Pharmacy. I have never met anyone rude, there, and if I did I would have said soomething. To the ones that complain about the wait, you have to realize, every day is different there, they may have had an emergency come in, and had to fit the person in, and I am sure if it was you, you would want the same . Patience is a virtue... you will learn in life.
MCHC has ended the self pay discount, as a result those of us without insurance and ineligible for medicaid or a discount must pay $350 for a ten minute appointment with the doctor. Manchester Community Health Center is now on the "for profit" health care train, I hope they lose a ton of patients and realize we are people, not dollars.
Referrals, refills and return calls have a horrendous turn around time. I literally have to call everyday for two weeks sometimes longer. The office is very poorly run. We will be taking out insurance some place else. Also the waiting room if filthy! So gross!!!
