I am new to town (only 3 days) we had a lot of laundry to do and we were moving furniture into place/emptying boxes all day. So I set out a bit late (still on AZ time). We spent $25.50 on the washers which did a good job. But Wow what a mistake it was to attempt to dry our lite underclothes and four towels, not bedding, sheets or anything else heavy. It cost us over $10.75 across 5 dryers and all the things in 4 of the dryers went home wet, even under garments! Only one dryer kept applying heat and dried a small load of towels. Hubby noted that the dryers only get 6 mins for a quarter verses 10-12 mins that we are used to. I don't know if that is standard around here, but we stopped feeding quarters for cold air. Now my apartment looks like ma and Pa kettle live here (for those of you old enough to know that reference) I consider tonight's small financial fiasco, as officially paying my local stupid tax! Live and learn right? Washing is ok but don't bother trying to dry anything!
Had an issue with the door locking when my clothes were in there but I called them and he took care of it. Was a door malfunction.
The washers are great but the dryers are slow, they don't really get hot so it takes a while to get dry clothes.
Could stand to have some seating but overall it's a great place. This is my new laundromat for sure. It's quiet and not overly crowded. The change machine always works and the attendant is a nice man who is both knowledgeable and helpful. He even helped me carry my laundry out as i had a lot of baskets. He was polite and well mannered. Better than the others laundromats in the area!
There's a really creepy guy that lives in the back of the Laundromat and every time I've gone their he's wasted. And he usually has his boisterous drunk friends in the back of the building in a room with the door half shut and I would not bring your children here, they yell and swear and you can smell the boze at the door. And the guy is especially creepy with younger girls in the late teens and 20s. If I had a car I would definitely go somewhere else but because it's close I end up going here and it's always a experience when I do go
Most of the dryers are broken, there's only 4 good dryers that work in the back of the Laundromat, and you can tell who the regulars are because their the ones that are all competing to get their stuff to the dryers in the back first. I spent like 7 bucks one night just on one dryer trying to get my clothes dry and I realized that the dryer only stayed hot for one minute and the rest of the time it blew cold air.
