Our server was kind, and recommended a wonderful albarino and red blend. Our entrees were good! But my partner's wines were not as good, and our artichoke appetizer was tough and chewy. Also, the vibe in the fantasy room was a little weird. Bonus points for the free fashion show! Yes, there was a fashion show.
Trendy place that take a you from Manchester to somewhere else..in betwen New York city and Munich. It has artsy and unique themed rooms, but the roof bar is where it's at. The staff is super friendly and inviting. We went just for drinks but would like to go back for the food.
I've already been here twice. I love how the menu changes frequently. It is like nothing you would expect in Manchester, NH. Very urban chic (NYC style). Tons of smaller plates that are great for sharing. Fresh ingredients, farm to table. High end presentation. Pricey compared to other restaurants in the area, but you get what you pay for and this was well worth it. They feature a fair amount of wines, and a limited spirits menu. Our servers on both visits were knowledgeable and attentive. The roof top deck is absolutely beautiful and you don't even realize you are in downtown Manchester. Excellent food and experience. Very eclectic menu with something for everyone.
Third visit.. New chef. Brought friends for dinner. We all ordered appetizers, entree and dessert. Drinks and wine excellent . Our meals were outstanding!! What a difference from our last 2 visits. The new chef is over and above what we had hoped for!! The service also much better and we enjoyed how well she knew and explained the menu to us. She took care of our needs without interrupting our conversations. One of the best nights out for a long time. Couldn't ask for anything better. Having owned restaurants in Massachusetts and Naples , FL. , I'm a tough critic and recommend this restaurant highly for the food, service and ambience highly!! DEFINATELY one of the top three restaurants in Manchester.
Cabonnay has a very cool atmosphere. They have multiple floors and each room was decorated differently. I sat outside at the rooftop bar, which was very nice. Unfortunately, I think you end up paying for the atmosphere more than the food. I've only ordered off the brunch menu and while it was good it did not stand out like the decor. Also, I thought the service was a little slow considering how not busy the place was.
